Thomas Pheasant is an American interior designer known for classical design that never feels restricted. Pheasant has received the Andrew Martin Interior Designer of the Year Award, the John Russell Pope Award given by the Institute of Classical Architecture and the 2016 Design Icon Award for his contributions to the design industry. His interiors have been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful and Chanintr Living, among others. He was also recognized as a Dean of American Design by Architectural Digest. In addition to curating stunning interiors, Pheasant has collaborated with Baker and McGuire on classical furnishings with modern design flair. In 2013, he launched the Thomas Pheasant STUDIO line — a collection of unique and limited edition accent chairs, cabinets, lamps, mahogany bar and side tables, benches and chandeliers, which celebrate his “personal design evolution and the art of creating modern furnishings.” Asked to describe his personal design philosophy, Thomas Pheasant says, “A well-developed vocabulary is just a foundation and design should be a constant evolution and expression of current thoughts and ideas channeled through that foundation. I believe that as a creative person it is important to constantly seek inspiration and take yourself outside your office and keep a fresh eye on the world around you.” True to his statement, his designs embody this in the care and detail that goes into each piece created in the STUDIO line amongst other collections.
