Woven Concepts

Woven Concepts is a producer of luxury artisan rugs. Now in its fourth generation, the firm provides wholesale, custom and antique rugs for the residential and commercial market. Woven Concepts has been nominated for a number of design accolades, among them the New York Spaces Spring Into Design Award and the Architizer 2019 A+ Award. Its clients include the Waldorf Astoria in New York City and the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, recording artist Don Henley and Walmart founder Sam Walton. Their pieces are also part of the set design for the FX show Fosse/Verdon. Woven Concepts rugs are handmade with fine quality yarns and dyes, with an increasing focus on sustainable materials. These textiles stand apart for their pattern accuracy, consistently fine weave and lush textures. Among the many popular Woven Concepts collections are the Classics line, which features understated tones and patterns ranging from abstract brushstrokes to geometric shapes, and the Odyssey group of rugs, with its bold, abstract colors and designs. In its role as dealer and curator, Woven Concepts' antique carpets are in high demand. For example, recent offerings in its Ghelim Collection include a striking Persian Jajim rug from approximately 1900, with flatweave design crafted in 100% wool, and a 1920 Afghan Meymaneh wool rug in rich shades of brown, black, navy blue and gold.
