Artist-designer duo Michael and Lucy Vaughan founded Vaughan in 1983, and are today considered one of the most eminent designers and manufacturers of light fixtures, furniture, and accessories in the industry. The couple previously worked as antique dealers, and therefore were in a unique position to meet the demands and needs of interior designers by offering expertly made classical lighting. As the business expanded, Vaughan ventured into producing furnishings like console tables, accent chairs, and even wall mirrors. But no matter the product, craftsmanship, authenticity and style remain the cornerstone of the business. Armed with the discerning eyes of collectors, Michael and Lucy let their passion and expertise for art and antiques inform the designs of their products, all made in-house by their studio. Using the finest materials and most meticulous manufacturing methods, Vaughan’s pendant lighting, chandeliers, lamps, and sconces are all made in Britain, often by the experts of their trade, from blacksmiths to masters of hand-blown crystal. The collection covers a wealth of styles and eras, from a 17th-century traditional swing-arm wall lamp to contemporary table lamps, combining old and new to create timeless designs that are above fleeting trends. With flagships in London and New York, Vaughan’s work can be seen in homes across the world, as well as state apartments, hotels, and restaurants.
