Vacheron Constantin

Founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the oldest watch manufacturer in continuous operation in the world, and one of the premier participants in haute horlogerie, meaning the watches and timepieces they produce are of the absolute highest aesthetic and technical caliber. Though first begun by Jean-Marc Vacheron, it was his grandson Jacques Vacheron, along with business partner François Constantin, who incorporated the company into Vacheron et Constantin. Constantin was quoted as saying, “Do better if possible, and that is always possible,” which is an ethos that the brand has embodied through to today. With a long and storied history of mechanical innovation as well as exquisite design and artistry, Vacheron Constantin has very much been at the forefront of luxury watchmaking for centuries. The prestige of the brand as well as its unparalleled quality and craftsmanship have garnered it numerous significant patrons over the years; royals from Napoleon Bonaparte to Diana, Princess of Wales, United States presidents Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower, as well as celebrities from Marlon Brando to Jay-Z have all collected Vacheron Constantin watches due to their esteemed status as some of the best ever made.
