Mariner

Mariner is a luxury lighting and furniture company located in Valencia, Spain. It was founded in 1893 by Enrique Mariner Guerra and is currently under fifth-generation leadership. Over the decades since, Mariner has designed lighting and other pieces for high-profile clientele, including a 1946 bronze and glass chandelier for Rex Cinemas in Valencia, the chandeliers of the Doral Hotel in Miami, Florida, and the Rebekah Harkness Theater in New York. In 1953, Mariner took part in the Casablanca Exhibition Fair, which helped popularize the brand and its ornate lighting designs. Mariner has an international retail presence: its flagship Valencia store reopened in 2015, and soon after, it secured locations in Vietnam, China, Russia and Fresno, California. The company celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2018. Mariner continues to produce luxury lighting in Valencia, Spain, for residential and commercial clients around the world. Mariner lighting includes wall sconces and chandeliers crafted from fine crystal, bronze, alabaster, and glass. The company also makes furniture, such as its recent living room furniture collection by Caterina Licitra, a tribute to her grandfather, Italian designer Gio Ponti. Mariner's Belgravia Sideboard in walnut burl accented with white lacquer and gold leafing stands out as another fine example of the company's design aesthetic.
