Jamie Young

Jamie Young is an American furniture brand known for its contemporary lamps. The company also makes other types of furnishings, such as side tables and lounge chairs. In 1997, artists David Jeter and Jamie Young Jeter took a road trip to Mexico, where they bought some locally-made flowerpots. They later sold the pots to a Los Angeles flower shop, which inspired them to begin producing their own ceramics. The Jeters soon realized that these pieces would make unique lamp bases, and this became the basis for their company. Over the years, the brand has produced lamps inspired by the couple’s travel adventures, as well as pieces influenced by art, history and current trends. One example of a Jamie Young piece is the Plum Jar Table Lamp, which comes in several colors including light gray and Tiffany blue. Its classic jug-shaped body is crafted from ceramic, with a white pebble linen shade. This brand also makes freestanding styles, such as the sturdy Abbey Candlestick Floor Lamp, made from cast metal with a bronze finish. Another offering from this brand is the St. John Console Table in whitewashed oak with a decorative lattice around the sides. Its natural linen-wrapped top is protected by a removable sheet of glass.
