Gustav Carroll

Gustav Carroll is a furniture brand that specializes in 18th- and 19th-century reproductions. Founded in Europe in the early 20th century, the family firm relocated first to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is now headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Under the direction of designer David Grinsztein, the founder's grandson, the brand continues to produce traditional furnishings that include benches, lounge chairs, side tables and sofas. Gustav Carroll also makes mirrors, such as the Acanthus Leaf Mirror, a transitional-style piece with a grand-scale carved mahogany frame and antiqued silver leafing. The Gustav Carroll Collection contains a variety of styles, from the Rococo-inspired Mansell Side Table with its curved lines and cabriole legs in Alder wood, to the elegant Georgian-style Dutch Card Table, a swirled marquetry top in burl walnut over an ebony tripod base. For a more modern aesthetic, Gustav Carroll recommends its new Deaux Mondes Collection, which contains contemporary beds, accent chairs, dining tables and other furniture inspired by designs of the 1930s, 1940s, and mid-century period.
