Esque Studio

Founded in 1999, Esque Studio is a team of two partners, glassblowers and designers, Justin Parker and Andi Kovel. They are best known for their functional glass fixtures, sculptures and installations that are all handmade and created from 100 percent recycled, chemical-free glass heated in an electric furnace that runs on wind power. Based in Portland, OR, Esque has won several awards, including the IDSA Outdoor Lighting Award in 2010 and the SHOWpdx Jury Choice Award in 2014. Some of their most incredible works include the pendants that have been incorporated into the architecture of the W Hotel in Seattle, as well as several hanging lights, portable lights, pendant lights, lamps and desk lamps available for purchase. They believe that companies like theirs will soon become the gold standard when it comes to eco-consciousness integrated with impeccable design. Their unique artistry combines their shared goals of originality and experimentation to create one-of-a-kind artifacts that showcase their obsession with the movement of light and its magical properties. On top of being innovative, Esque Studio is highly reverent to those who came before, allowing artists like Parker and Kovel to reimagine handblown glass fixtures and sculptures in exciting ways. Aside from light fixtures, Esque Studio also creates decidedly unique yet functional items like ice buckets, vases, bowls and jugs.
