Dennis and Leen

Dennis and Leen is a fine furniture brand located in Los Angeles, California. Veranda magazine featured Dennis and Leen’s Modern Silver Leaf Table in its September 2011 issue, and a set of its chairs made an appearance in the October issue from the same year. Tables and chairs are just a few of the furnishings made by this brand. Dennis and Leen also makes settees and sofas, lighting, mantels and art. There are Dennis and Leen showrooms all over the United States, in cities including New York, Chicago, Denver and Washington D.C. The company was founded in 1959 by Leo Dennis and Jerry Leen and is best known for its 17th-century French reproductions. It was sold in the 1980s to a trio of designers who expanded upon the original product line while keeping the Dennis and Leen name and creative vision intact. The furnishings produced by this brand feature intricate details: for example, the Round Backed Armchair has carved, tapered legs with rosettes and is partially gilded for an antique appearance. It is finished with floral-print silk upholstery in elegant neutral tones. Dennis and Leen employs skilled craftspeople to produce their designs; some of these artisans were hired by the original owners.
