In 1890, Parisian designer Henry Delisle created his first chandelier drawings, launching what would become a 150-year tradition of luxury furniture, lighting, and décor. By 1922, the company received honors at the World’s Fair in Rio de Janeiro for its ArtDeco designs. In 1935, Delisle's firm moved into its current headquarters in the hôtel de Canillac, putting the company in the heart of the French capital's arts and design district. Specializing in lighting and fine furniture, more than 80% of the company’s pieces are custom-designed and built for individual clients. Designers Nicolas Aubagnac, Elliot Barnes, Jean Delisle, Jean-Michel Delisle, Christian Liaigre and Jean-Michel Wilmotte bring their creativity and craftsmanship to Delisle collections, turning out sleek Art Deco and Modern lines alongside classically ornate designs from the eras of Louis XIV, XV, and XVI. Delisle manufactures wall sconces, floor lamps, candelabras, lanterns, chandeliers and table lamps that, through perfectly placed indirect lighting and overhead illumination, can bring out the best in a home’s furnishings and décor. Consoles, desks, dining room tables, and storage pieces combine beauty and practicality with modern and classical styles. The fine art of House Delisle captures the elegance and beauty of the savoir-faire movement in bronze and forged iron; these eye-catching collector’s items and heirloom pieces evoke powerful emotions in any environment.
