December is filled with festive color palettes that come directly from the holidays – there’s red and green, blue and white, silver and gold, and so many more. This month, we’re taking a simple approach with a duo that feels just right this time of year: Green and white. Reminiscent of winter pines and snow, this palette can actually go in a number of different directions. You can combine deep emerald with ivory for a sophisticated look, kelly green with crisp white for a dash of preppy pep, or evergreen with pearl for a pairing that feels luxe enough for the holidays but won’t be tiresome come January. Here are just a few of our favorite green and white pieces to get you thinking about this versatile palette:

Baker Faux Malachite Credenza

The faux malachite effect on this sizable storage piece brings several jewel-toned greens into your décor. It’s a design that’s best incorporated as a lone statement piece in a room with minimal accessories. A clean-lined mirror (positioned above the credenza) would be enough to balance the scale without distracting from its beauty.

Shine By Pasargad Hand-Loomed Bamboo Silk Area Rug

A neutral rug doesn’t have to be basic. In this design, neutral shades of white, ivory, and a dash of gray combine to create a subtle abstract pattern, while silk gives the rug a subtle gleam.

Mr. Brown London Como Green Sofa

The velvet upholstery on this vintage-inspired sofa is an exquisite shade of green that’s somewhere between a deep olive and evergreen. Though the graceful lines of the sofa could look a bit fussy to those who prefer more contemporary styles, the unusual color also helps gives the design a bit of an edge.

Hellman-Chang Lucid Coffee Table

There’s been a definite trend towards furniture that has a bolder scale, though such pieces can be tricky to incorporate into a room. This coffee table is an effortless way to try out this new look in décor. While it does have a bold scale, the white lacquer base doesn’t give the table a “clunky” look.

Kravet Round Ceramic Champy Raku Vase

A crackle glaze adds interest to a simple ceramic piece that makes an elegant addition to a desk or bookcase.

Janus et Cie Industrial Stainless Steel Foosball Table

White has a way of making anything look more stylish – and that extends to whimsical pieces like a foosball table. It’s a piece you won’t mind placing in a study, game room, or family room.
