Viyet: What inspired this career path for you?
Woodson & Rummerfield: You just know when it’s in you and you have the passion for it. It’s something that was inherent for both of us.
Viyet: What is your go-to source for inspiration?
Woodson & Rummerfield: We find inspiration in many different forms, but fashion and travel are the greatest contributors.
Viyet: Tell us about your creative process.
Woodson & Rummerfield: It’s a never-ending process and takes on many forms. A piece of art or a pair of shoes may inspire a whole room. As a duo, we are always challenging each other and building on each other’s ideas.
Style in six words: Memorable, classic, opulent, bold, and fashionable.
Viyet: What’s a staple in your tool kit?
Woodson & Rummerfield: Tape measure and camera.
Viyet: Who do you look up to in the design world?
Woodson & Rummerfield: One another, and some of the greats like Tony Baratta, Jean-Michel Frank, and Tony Duquette.
Viyet: If you could design a space for anyone, what kind of space and for whom would it be?
Ron: Tina Turner or Mary J. Blige — it would be a fashionable space.
Jaime: Pharrell Williams — it would be a very avant garde space.
“Some people do not either deserve, require, or especially need a great designer” – Unknown
Viyet: Which design blog, website, TV show, or magazine would you be lost without?
Woodson & Rummerfield: Elle Décor, and we are still mourning the loss of “Testy Tastemaker” by Mayer Rus from House and Garden Magazine. That was the best!
Viyet: Share a little bit about the pieces you’re consigning on Viyet, e.g., do any have unique backstories, in what kind of space do you hope they end up, etc.?
Woodson & Rummerfield: Carefully curated pieces from Hollywood estates and our travels.
Viyet: What do you love about Viyet?
Woodson & Rummerfield: It’s a great platform to share good design with the masses and with many other design enthusiasts.
