“Finally getting organized” is a 2016 resolution that might be as popular as the old promise to get back in shape. If you’re not used to leading a color-coded, ruthlessly edited, “a place for everything and everything in its place” clutter-free life, you’ll find yourself quickly overwhelmed by the huge task. Thankfully, there are a number of experts out there who are more than willing to share their ideas. And plenty of them have Instagram accounts which make finding inspiration as easy as scrolling through your feed. Here are just a few of our favorites.
Founded by Jen Jones, I Heart Organizing is a site that makes the often-intimidating task of decluttering seem not so scary. Check out her feed for stylish yet simple ideas, like the clear desk organizer inside a painted hutch (storage inside storage!).
Based in Nashville, The Home Edit is another great organizing company that focuses on stylish and sustainable ideas. Follow for decor, styling, and storage ideas that will have you looking at your home in a whole different (organized-focused) way. You’ll soon be color-coding your collections like the glassware above!
Domino is already our go-to for decor ideas that are a little bit modern, a little bit creative, and altogether memorable — so of course their more organization-focused ideas are fabulous. We are inspired by the above home workspace, with its fresh white-and-green color scheme.
In the Instagram feed of Summer Hogan (of the blog Simple Stylings), you’ll find plenty of creative ideas for every room in your home. Perhaps a beautiful open-storage coffee station is in your future?
Get a glimpse behind the scenes of a San Francisco-based professional organizer. Don’t be surprised if this feed inspires you to finally tackle that closet!
This lifestyle service was recently featured on Vogue.com. The emphasis is on, yes, organizing, but also decluttering ideas that will become habits. We love taking a look at the different projects by Neat Method experts across the country.

I moonlight as a #nailpolishaddict , true story. Who's with me?. #pareddowntogether I never considered myself a collector until I actually thought about the things I buy repeatedly. Yarn was the natural thought but then @andymac_18 declared "nail polish"! He's right…. So here's my medium pinks 💅🏻😉 *They don't live in the living room. I store then in one open box in the bathroom vanity and I toss any that are bubbly, older than a year, or too difficult to open.
The Ottawa-based Ashley Izsak is a professional organizer with a gift for Insta-perfect clutter-free vignettes. Basically, her photos perfectly fit the name of her account!
